The simple undergarments we're making really only need basic sewing supplies. We'll go over fabric selections in Lesson 1. But you'll need to gather up the following starter tools to get started right away on your projects.

Basic Sewing Kit:

• Scissors for fabric and paper (separate pairs) (Optional: rotary cutter & mat)
• Seam ripper and seam gauge
• Machine & hand needles (size 80/12 is a good machine size)
• Straight pins
• Matching thread
• Steam Iron
• Pattern & Cutting Tools: 18" clear ruler/tape measure; pencils, eraser; pattern weights; pattern paper (if you want to copy your patterns and not cut them)
• Fabric marking pencils or pens

NOTE: please read over the supplies listed on the individual patterns and collect those as well. They vary with the patterns so are not included in this list specifically but we'll go over them more in detail, along with additional tools you'll need, in Lesson 1.
